As existing EFT products grow and new technologies and opportunities emerge, bankers need a way to keep up with both business and compliance changes to offer EFT products safely and remain competitive.

Sheshunoff Electronic Fund Transfers provides easy-to-read analysis and guidance on the federal laws, such as the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Regulation E, the UCC, and privacy laws, plus a discussion of relevant state compliance issues. The manual is organized by type of EFT product and by regulatory issues, so you can quickly turn to the information you need. Plus, an up-front overview of the fundamentals of EFT services explains their development and the larger compliance issues involved. There is also an explanation of regulatory payment mechanisms, such as Federal Reserve Operating Circulars and Rules of the National Automated Clearing House Association, to help you understand and properly use the various electronic payment systems. Plus, there are special sections covering regulatory points concerning EFTs that you might otherwise overlook.

  • Comprehensive coverage of federal statutes and regulations.
  • Checklists for specific EFT products.
  • State-specific compliance issues.
  • Checklists from the examination procedures used by the regulators.
  • Model disclosure forms and error resolution notices.
  • Coverage of security and privacy issues.
