About the Author
David A. Reed is an author, consultant, attorney and nationally recognized speaker. He received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in 1986 and his Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law in 1989. Formally, Mr. Reed was Vice President and General Counsel for a financial institution in Fairfax, Virginia. In his role as chief legal officer he established institutional legal policy, provided legal advice to the institution concerning a variety of matters including the establishment and revision of the institution’s collection activities and its compliance with federal regulations, Mr. Reed currently serves as editor of several manuals including Sheshunoff’s Debt Collections Manual; and Sheshunoff’s Practical Guide to Bankruptcy.
