While a recent FBI report shows serious crime leveling off following an eight-year decline, data about credit union robberies shows a disturbing increase nationwide.

"Whether it be an economic slowdown or the higher jobless rates as possible reasons, robberies are increasing. It’s paramount that ... credit unions prepare with regular staff robbery training," says Washington Credit Union League President/CEO John Annaloro.

You can take steps to protect your credit union, your employees, your members, and your members’ money. The Sheshunoff® NAFCU’s Security Manual for Credit Unions: Procedures and Training will show you how.

Everything You Need to Easily Satisfy the NCUA’s Rules and Regulations on Security, and More.
This manual and CD set gives you complete coverage of the regulations and policies you need to comply with, as well as tips, techniques, best practices, and proven training tools. So whether you’re an experienced credit union security officer or you’re new to the job, you’ll have what it takes to make your credit union safer.

The manual covers all the areas you need to be prepared for, including:

Just follow the manual’s guidelines to create your own written plan and effective procedures. There’s even guidance on how to best do the job a security officer has to perform, and help on how to hire honest people so you keep internal security problems to a minimum.

Plus you’ll find lots of sample forms and checklists to simplify your job. All the key items are covered, so nothing gets overlooked.

The Handy CD Makes Customizing the Material a Snap.
To make your job even easier, you get everything - sample forms and checklists, a complete training program, a model Employee Handbook, and more - on a CD. So it’s really easy to insert your credit union’s name, specific information on what to do, and more. Then just print off all the copies you need, as you need them, so every employee has the training and materials they need, and even the latest version of your plan.
