This unique BSA/AML training and certification program offers you the flexibility to attend the entire program in-house. Our comprehensive program includes 8 interactive sessions as well as an accompanying manual. We recommend all attendees familiarize themselves with the accompanying manual in advance of the webinar sessions. This valuable self-study guide covers the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering Requirements and OFAC Requirements. During the webinar portion of the training, our expert will give you the information and skills needed to administer this critical function, and will address:

• BSA/OFAC/Anti-Money Laundering/Patriot Act General Requirements
• CTR’s and Exemptions
• BSA Management and Independent Test
• CIP, 314 and Other issues
• Risk Assessment and Exam Procedures
• Money Laundering and OFAC
• SAR Reporting and Administration

Training will be conducted twice daily, from 11-12:30 and 2:30-4 Eastern Time. Each session is approximately 60 minutes, followed by 30 minutes for questions and answers. Plan to attend each session in its entirety in order to take full advantage of this unique learning experience. 

Attendees present for all 8 webinars and who complete a survey will receive a certificate for 9.5 continuing education credits. Those unable to attend a specific session will have access to audio recordings for all sessions along with presentation material on a secure website. All attendees must call in from one phone line. Additional charges will apply for multiple phone lines. CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion, candidates who meet the requirements below will earn certification from Sheshunoff — a certification that shows your employer and regulators that you have met the standards of education, experience and skill required for this prestigious recognition by the industry leader in bank compliance.

Requirements for Sheshunoff's BSA Officer Certification

• Have a current manual subscription or webinar registration.
• Successfully complete the course and exam. There is no additional for taking the exam, which is administered online. Other testing arrangements can be made if necessary. Registrants have up to one year from the date of purchase to request the exam.
• Have a year of BSA–related experience.
• Submit a current letter of recommendation that endorses the student’s candidacy for certification. The student’s manager or another senior official should write the letter.
• Sign and adhere to a Code of Ethics when taking the test online.
• Recertification. Certification is valid for two years. To recertify, you must fulfill the requirements in the bulleted items above and submit documentation of 9 (nine) hours of BSA-related education obtained during the two years following certification. The 9 hours may include other Sheshunoff webinars. Before requesting recertification, please make sure your documentation (letter of recommendation and education hours) is on file with us.

Requesting Sheshunoff’s BSA Officer Certification Exam

• Send an email to certification@sheshunoff.com with the information bulleted below.  Incomplete submissions will not be processed.
• Sheshunoff account number
• Name of the requested exam
• Name, title and e-mail address of the student, as it should appear on the certificate
• Name, title and e-mail address of the proctor (a senior officer in your institution who will administer the exam)
• Name and mailing address of the financial institution, as it should appear on the certificate
• Letter of recommendation, and if for recertification, documentation of education hours (See Recertification above.)
• Requested date of the exam (Please schedule five business days from the date of your request to take the exam.)

After processing the exam request, we will e-mail the exam instructions and login information to the proctor — not the student. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions. Students are allotted 75 minutes to complete the exam. A timer will be clearly displayed on the screen during the exam. A score of 70% is required to pass the exam and achieve certification. Students may attempt the exam twice within one year from date of purchase. The second attempt will automatically be made available online with seven days of the first failed attempt. Should technical difficulties occur during the test, the proctor should call client services at 1-800-456-2340.
