Dr. Kent Belasco is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at First Midwest Bank. He has more than 30 years experience in banking, including nineteen as a CIO. In addition, he has extensive experience in credit, operations, finance and project management, and has coordinated a wide range of merger and acquisition conversions of financial institutions. Dr. Belasco is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a doctorate in Business Education with concentrations in Information Systems and Educational Psychology, with primary research in efficiency. In addition to his duties at First Midwest, he serves as Adjunct Professor of Finance in the undergraduate and MBA programs at Elmhurst College. He is the author of numerous books and publications on bank productivity, bank conversions, bank systems management, and bank staffing.
